The Basics For Canal Banking
Look for anything that breaks the flow. Some is obvious, some you can only see when the water is clear or low. Shade can be a fish concentrator as well. Don’t spend a lot of time in any one spot. However, there are plenty of spots where there are a dozen “spots” within a minute of each other walking. Spend 5 – 15 minutes on each one and move on. Live minnows are king, but I catch plenty of soft plastics too.
If you see more than one set of fresh footprints in a spot don’t spend as much time on it.
