Mittry Lake – 3 Times in a Week – Big Fish
I got out AGAIN for a few hours yesterday. I wasn’t super excited I’d catch fish being post frontal, but it was worth a shot.
If you read “Mittry Lake Fishing Report – TIMES 2” you know I’ve been fighting with little issues trying to get The Tin Can back in regular fishing order. I got the steering sorted out, and the trim is working properly, but the outboard is not running right. Still being able to steer is a big improvement.
I had a little trouble with the trolling motor. I thought maybe my fancy lithium battery tanked out on me and was about to head in when I saw this.
Oops. LOL. If I turn the motor back and forth it always starts working again. I had just forgotten about it. I actually have a spare 3^ motor I bought from a friend I had planned to swap onto this boat. I just forgot.
After that I just fished until it was time to head in. It was post frontal and I wasn’t expecting much. The only thing I got bit on was topwater, and the most bites by far came on the Curly Buzz Frog Jr. Here are a few of the fish I caught.
