For Those Who Just Want A Fishing Report (April 6th 2026)
Finally got back out on the river. We hit the water between 3:30 and 4:00 in the afternoon yesterday. It started slow, but my partner stuck a couple. He makes his own Club-Os and he started trying out a new color he made. Good looking color. I think most of his fish came on it, and with a couple on a soft jerk bait and one after sunset on a bladed jig. His biggest one at 3.62 lbs came on his new special color. I started throwing my old favorite Club-O and I caught a couple, but it was slow. Later on we got on a stretch that produced pretty well. I switched to the Square Back Minnow in a variation of an old favorite color and I did pretty well including one that was 4.25 lbs. All together we caught 18 or 19 fish between us. Only a couple dinks and a couple small keepers, but most were what I call heavy 2s.
The 4″ Club-O and the Square Back Minnow caught most of the fish. I caught all but one small keeper that took a crank bait on those soft plastics.
