Another Boat Project That Will Probably Never Be Finished (Update 6/29/2025)
New Update 6/29/2025
It’s not looking good. I put up a hundred bucks as a deposit, but there keeps being one thing after another holding up the title. As I told the seller, he’s sure going to an awful lot of work to just hustle me out of a hundred bucks.
Negative: He still shows the trailer as available on Facebook Marketplace and on Craigslist.
Positive: He’s still responding, claiming he’s working on it.
I’d rather not lose it, but a hundred bucks isn’t that much these days. I am hopeful it will still work out.
Previous Update: 6/24/2025
Maybe the trailer title problem will be solved. I had this trailer for a day waiting on the title, and then the owner took it back… supposedly to get it inspected and get the title straightened out. We shall see.
Pretty good shape for a tube frame trailer. Unlike most this age the cross tubes are not rusted out from the inside… yet. Needs fenders, and bunk brackets, but those are both fairly cheap. As I mentioned the other day, I never received the title for the old trailer, but its also got other problems. The winch tower is collapsed, and the cross tubes are rusted out from the inside. In fact I welded truss plates on them for Gary many years ago to keep them from breaking.
