Back On eBay(tm) – Penny Auction Rejects Too
As some of you may be aware I quit listing anything on eBay for a while. I primarily sell fishing tackle molds at retail price to end users. eBay was playing all kinds of games trying to force me to accept offers, force me to use their payment processing and get direct access to my bank account, and force me to use their shipping interface.
I pay less for shipping at Auctane/ShipStation most times. I don’t want to pay extra to sell on eBay and be forced or manipulated to sell for less.
By using the templates, and taking some time (time I don’t really have) I’ve been able to eliminate two out of three problems. Shipping, and the bullshit make offer option they buried behind a secondary field you had to open to even see they were trying to force it on you. It was on by default. I mitigated the third risk by opening a separate bank account just for dealing with eBay. I transfer money out of it instantly, so the worst they can ever do is refuse to pay me for a sale.
I really only ever used eBay for name recognition. I had more people hunt me down after seeing me on eBay than actually made purchases on eBay.
I would prefer you buy from my website, www.cncmolds.com but occasionally when I make something it’s more efficient to make more than one at a time. Using some advanced features it’s possible to bypass some of the headaches eBay causes on their platform so I am now again listing those extra items on eBay from time to time. I’ll also be bringing back the penny auction reject listings when I have some for that. For those who refuse to wait for me to cut a mold, items listed on eBay are IN STOCK ready to ship on my next shipping day.
