1/16 Oz Kahle Bead Jig

I made this mold (not these exact ones) a long time ago, but I never really used the jigs, but I think I might have an application.  Wacky rigging really light baits, low salt baits, or salt free versions.  I make the mold in three sizes.  1/16oz, 1/18 oz, and 1/4 oz if I recall.  I’d have to go check my website.  I make so many molds I can’t remember details of all of them anymore.  I’ve been planning on a making a weedless version for a while, but I can’t find just the right hook.  Venom Lures used to make a weedless weighted wacky hook, but they shut down earlier this year according to their Facebook page.  What I want to make is a little different from theirs anyway using a jig style 1/16 inch diameter weed guard.  The hook in this mold is an Eagle Laser L141.  They make it in bronze and red for those who like red hooks.  I’ve always felt the Eagle Claw laser hooks were a secret value with a sticky sharp point, but at considerably less than a premium line hook.  Anyway, this is the Kahle Bead Jig Mold in 1/16th oz in this video.

Another application (there are many more I am sure) is to use it for nose hooking a live minnow or even a soft plastic minnow bait.  Its pretty hard to beat a kahle hook for minnow rigs.  Weighted or weightless.
